Senior Software Engineer, Partner Infrastructure

Job Description

Our Partner Developer Experience (PDX) team is focused on helping engineers around the world deploy the Netflix application quickly, with the highest levels of quality. We do this by deploying and operating tools and services that rapidly bring the Netflix experience to new platforms and architectures like smart TVs, set-top boxes, and streaming sticks in a way that brings joy to our viewers.

The solutions created by this team are used by all the major TV and device manufacturers like Samsung, Sony, Google, and Amazon around the world that result in enabling hundreds of millions of devices worldwide to play Netflix.

The Partner Infrastructure team in PDX builds foundational tools and services to maximize scaling efficiencies of thousands of partner developers worldwide that are integrating the Netflix application on their devices.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will work on impactful projects that range from creating tools for test automation to collecting and providing meaningful insights from pre-production partner devices (TVs and Set-top-boxes) that integrate with the Netflix application.

What you will be doing:
• Develop tools that are part of our test automation infrastructure with an eye on scaling and reliability
• Create and develop techniques to automate manual testing
• Gather metrics from pre-production partner devices and supporting infrastructure in order to deliver insights that determine device quality risk. Utilize these metrics to provide a feedback cycle that improves the tools and tests that enable partners to be more efficient
• Operate in a highly cross-functional environment where you can leverage multiple teams to help our partners be successful

What we are looking for:
• 8+ years of experience in a software development role shipping products
• Proficiency in either Javascript, Node, or Java
• Deep knowledge of cloud-tech stack that includes AWS, Real-time message brokers, NoSQL, Continuous Delivery, Configuration Management
• Bonus if you have experience with embedded software development
• Outstanding communicators who are curious, flexible, and selfless
