Job Description

The Regional Sports Networks (RSNs) are seeking a Viz Artist! This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that's building a new design hub that will service all of Sinclair's sports properties. It is essentially a start-up with a brand-new facility and design team. The Viz Artist reports to the Art Director of the Regional Sports Networks. This person will create and execute graphics for use in live and studio productions for all 23 Regional Sports Networks, Marquee Network, Tennis Channel and other Sinclair sports properties. Duties include creating, executing and maintaining graphic elements for remote and studio productions, organizing the graphic elements library and archiving digital project files.

Essential Functions:
• Designs and executes graphics for all live sports events, short and long form content, sales and promotion
• Working knowledge of Viz Trio
• Organizes and maintains the graphic elements library
• Maintains digital files and ensures that projects are properly archived
• Proven design skills in utilizing Photoshop, Illustrator, and various 3-D software is necessary
• Good organizational and project management skills
• Knowledge of Viz scripting, creating transition logic scenes is essential
• Knowledge of Viz One a plus
• The ability to multitask and work effectively in a time sensitive, high- pressure environment

Education / Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field
• 5 years experience within a broadcast and / or production environment
Other Duties:
• Be a team player with the ability to communicate with other groups within the department to carry out Viz projects
• The ability to troubleshoot MAC and Viz graphic system issues
• Live sports experience is highly desirable
