Job Description
Media Platforms is looking for a Systems Administrator
to join our DevOps team and help manage business critical systems. They will
play a key role in supporting and optimizing WebSphere Application Server
instances, while growing with our DevOps team as we evangelize our workflow and
processes while migrating to the Cloud. As a Systems Administrator, you will be able
to help us solve new problems and maintain our current systems and applications
(AWS/GCP/Azure, Linux e-Commerce software, J2EE/PHP applications, WebSphere)

What you'll do
• You
will be a key player in supporting and optimizing WebSphere application
server instances, including providing continued support
and uptime of WebSphere Application Server, Tomcat Clusters and eCommerce
environments in conjunction with migrating applications to the cloud
• You
will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, upgrades,
performance testing and support of Linux e-commerce software and J2EE/PHP
applications
• You will get to work closely with
development teams to architect and implement applications in a secure and
highly available manner
• You will be able to develop applications
which help software engineers do their jobs at a faster pace with less
overhead.
• You will be key to developing and
maintaining an infrastructure via automation.
• You will be responsible for Installing new
system software products as well as new versions and releases for existing
system software products according to established departmental procedures.
• You will get to develop custom scripts to
monitor, automate and administer various applications web based and/or
command line based.
• You will monitor assigned systems for
security and performance daily, use your troubleshooting skills to identify
root cause of issues in a complex environment
• You
will be part of the team to provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotating
basis

Who you are
• You have
worked extensively with WebSphere Application Servers as a system administrator
• You have a successful track record as a Systems
Administrator with experience managing on premises applications, as well
as experience working with Cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) Qualification / experience 3
• You
have experience working in a highly clustered environment
• You
have strong experience maintaining, upgrading and optimizing Linux
e-Commerce software and J2EE/PHP applications
• You
have experience with deployment, configuration, and management of
containers using leading container solutions
• You
have some experience in a Cloud Environment (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• You have an understanding of audit and
compliance requirements to meet PCI-DSS standards
• You take great satisfaction from partnering
with members of network, software engineering and other DevOps engineers
to provide secure and stable environments for critical e-commerce
applications
• You
enjoy being part of a team where you can both teach and learn from others
• You have a bachelor's degree in Computer
Science or MIS and/or successful completion of equivalent technical
courses in computer related field, or equivalent work experience
