Responsibilities

The VP, E! Current Production will report directly to the SVP, E! Current Production and is responsible for the creative oversight of selected shows from pre-production through post. This position will be involved in all of the high level creative discussions and decisions about casting, format, storylines, editorial and will help execute those decisions on assigned shows. This executive will be the main point of contact at E! for the production companies and will serve as the liaison internally at the company to communicate show creative and information to various departments.

The role requires a deep understanding of unscripted production (both in studio and the field) with knowledge of various genres including docuseries, comedic formats, talk shows and game shows.

Responsibilities:
-Serve as executive on selected shows with the primary focus of providing creative insights on format, storylines, casting, locations, etc.
-Provide notes and guide creative in principal photography as well as give editorial notes on all cuts from rough cut to locked picture cut.
-Problem solve show issues that come up along the way and present solutions to the SVP and greater team.
-Manage talent where necessary on selected shows.
-Serve as the point person for the production company at E!.
-Act as liaison to the marketing, publicity, ad sales, digital teams for assigned projects.
-Supervise and conceptualize the production elements of the digital/social materials that emanate from assigned shows.
-Attend shoots regularly (may require travel) and work with finance and production management to solve budget issues.
-Manage and communicate the flow of information, materials, dates, schedules to the SVP and greater team.
-Be an expert on pop culture and the lifestyle & entertainment space.
-Identify showrunners and producers with whom E! should be in business with.

Qualifications/Requirements
-10+ years of current production experience and/or development experience. This includes experience in the field on unscripted projects.
-Strong relationships with industry professionals including showrunners and production companies.
