Job Description

Position Summary

Discovery Networks is a TV house with a wide spectrum of channels, exciting programs and popular profiles. As content creators in the digital space, Discovery Digital Media continuously leverages our technological capabilities to create immersive viewing experiences for iconic brands including Eurosport, GOLFTV, MotorTrend and DPlay.

Dplay is a streaming service with both an SVOD (subscription video on demand) and AVOD (advertising video on demand) proposition. Part of Discovery Networks, Dplay gathers the best content from a local country - and the world's - largest TV channels, including Channel 5, Channel 11, TLC, Discovery Channel and Eurosport. It means world-class content, from breath taking entertainment to gripping documentaries.

Dplay is expanding and a new role has opened for a PMO Professional as we look to take on more projects over the next year. In this role you will be responsible for delivering the management reporting, planning and supporting the Programme Team to deliver projects smoothly and within the control framework specified.

Responsibilities
• Support the PMO Lead in implementing a new PMO office into the Programme team ensuring that the policy and project delivery controls are always followed, promptly escalating issues, risks, and continuous improvement suggestions to the Project/Programme Managers

• Responsibility of managing and collating updates to the Project Plan

• Responsibility of collating and sending minutes for Project/Programme status update meetings

• Responsibility of arranging Project meetings and supporting the business with arrangement requests

• Support the project managers in development of business cases.

• Establish and maintain project controls, keeping the project manager aware of the project status.

• Prepare project performance reports, presenting statistics and researching new information.

• Ensure risks and issues are an integral part of the governance cycle

Requirements
• Strategic mindset, with the ability to focus on both big picture and practical impact.

• Excellent interpersonal, relationship and communication skills, able to collaborate and partner with all areas of business.

• Excellent stakeholder management and proven ability to deal professionally with senior management.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate and partner across the Dplay and build an internal as well as external network.

• Demonstrable track record of managing multiple stakeholders and building relationships across diverse skill sets and across the organisation.

• Track record of championing implementation of methodology e.g. applying the standards to set up projects

• Experience in influencing others to adhere to project life cycle and production of required documentation

Desirable
• Formal project management training (e.g. Prince II Foundation) a plus

• Experience with Confluence and Jira
