Amazon is seeking a highly-intelligent and experienced public relations professional based in Bogota, Colombia to support our rapidly growing and evolving global digital video business in Latin America. Amazon Prime Video is changing the way people watch movies and TV shows. Our mission is to build the widest selection of digital video content and make it trivially easy for customers to enjoy wherever and whenever they want.

As Amazon Prime Video PR Manager, LATAM, you will partner and collaborate with global PR teams and key business leaders to imagine, develop and execute communications programs and events designed to support the global digital video business and its rapid growth in Latin America. The successful candidate will be responsible for the proactive communication of our successful streaming service and promotion of our major award winning original and exclusive content, as well as leading the local execution for regional and global campaigns and initiatives. As local PR lead, you will be relied upon as a key advisor to senior business leaders and international PR colleagues and support global campaigns taking into consideration cultural nuances for impactful regional media strategies.

The successful candidate must have extraordinary high-judgment, excellent communications skills and exemplary writing ability in both English and Spanish, exceptional initiative, strong project management skills and a talent for effectively managing projects across international teams with complex communication challenges. She/he should have experience working with high standards under tight deadlines and be flexible to manage ambiguity as priorities change.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a PR subject matter expert for the LATAM territories (Argentina, Chile, Colombia)
• • Devise and implement comprehensive communication programs that build buzz and awareness for the digital video service and its content
• • Development and implementation of PR strategies and campaigns for the in-house productions of Amazon Studios, and the extensive movie and TV portfolio of Prime Video
• • Development and execution of premieres and other events relating to Prime Video, including interviews with talent, set visits and press junkets for original, exclusive and first run content
• • Close co-operation with fellow PR associates from across Latin America and worldwide as well as international colleagues from Amazon Studios
• • Work with key stakeholders across many regions including business leads, content teams, marketing teams, social media teams and external PR agencies
• • Provide strategic counsel to senior business leaders
• • Ensure consistency of company-wide communication, share worldwide best practices, capitalize on opportunities globally and develop impactful regional media strategies
• • Keep current on trends, issues and news about both the business and consumer worlds of media and entertainment
• • Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant media in the region
• • Conduct proactive and reactive media relations
• • Manage external public relations agency on strategy and day-to-day matters
• • Effectively represent Amazon as a spokesperson for assigned businesses as necessary

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 8+ years of experience in Public Relations, preferably in entertainment and consumer tech and executing highly successful, creative and complex media campaigns and events
• • Fluency in English and Spanish is required
• • Bachelor's degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrated understanding of the consumer and media landscape in LATAM (Argentina, Chile, Colombia) and greater Latin America
• • Strong knowledge and experience in publicity preferred
• • Desire to work with the media proactively to generate awareness
• • Passion for pop culture and entertainment
• • Willingness to work hard and roll up sleeves to get work done, even when at times it is outside the scope of the job
• • Ability to develop creative, effective strategies for difficult communications challenge
• • Excellent judgment, particularly in narrow time frames
• • Willingness to travel internationally
• • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
• • Experience managing a current network of media contacts
