The Job

As the Senior Staff Engineer Lead of the HBO Max Component Framework team, you will guide and motivate your team. You will take an active role in developing the careers of everyone on your team. You will define metrics for success, and clear the way for your team to achieve and exceed them. You will foster and encourage diverse viewpoints, and are able to harmonize discordant views.

The Component Framework team is responsible for the enabling other teams rapid development of UI components by supporting the backend data modeling, integration with back end data sources, and integration with our CMS. We own key systems that enable the business to optimize and configure the application for each individual customer experience, and create rapid development patterns for UI development teams to follow.

As an enabler of development teams across the organization, you will be expected to reach out to broad stakeholders, identify dependencies, and work to extend the framework. This will involve interfacing with UI teams as well as back end service teams, and enable the presentation of diverse systems into a common set of UI components.
