Director Of Engineering

Job Description

Sinclair Broadcast Group is looking for a Broadcast Engineer Manager for its Corporate office in Hunt Valley, MD to support engineering operations of the Corporate office and local sports programming.

Responsibilities:
• Provide engineering and show support for regional sports networks.
• Maintain a large Avid Interplay work group environment in virtual machine environment.
• Maintain and operate satellite transmit and receive equipment.
• Maintain 3 control rooms, 3 production facilities and terminal gear.
• Assist SBG station group with Avid Support needs and questions.
• Build standalone Avid systems for SBG station deployments.
• Manage staff, budget and future upgrades to the facility. .
• Maintain multiple UPSs, HVAC units, and generator.

Requirements:
• Avid ACSR status or equivalent experience a must
• Job will be computer and workflow heavy.
• Knowledge of Telestream Vantage
• Knowledge of any of the following is a bonus: Chyron Mosaic, Miranda Kaleido, Utah routing, Ross switchers, and Clearcomm intercom.
• Ability to work well with others

The selected applicant must have a flexible schedule during baseball season and be able to work nights and weekends as this position will support engineering operations for a local sports network.
