Senior Content Financial Analyst

Job Description

Hulu's Content Planning & Analysis team is seeking an experienced analyst who will be an outstanding addition to our Finance team. As an experienced analyst at Hulu, your primary responsibilities will be projecting the performance of prospective content deals, evaluating portfolio health, digging deep into data to extract insights into engagement trends, preparing reports for management, and other strategic projects. You will also assist in overseeing and reviewing the work of junior team members. Due to the market-facing nature of our work and our shifting industry landscape, a successful candidate will have the aptitude to tackle multiple projects, problem-solve, contribute to idea generation, and efficiently execute deliverables.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Prepare complex models to project the financial impact and user engagement performance of individual series and content verticals
• Present analytical insights to build internal support for potential transactions and inform the negotiations process for content acquisition and original productions
• Assist with the creation of presentations and deal memos to support executive decision-making and strategic initiatives
• Support the day-to-day management of Hulu's long-term content budget
• Participate in various ad-hoc content projects

WHAT TO BRING
• 3+ years of experience with a top investment bank, management consulting firm, media/entertainment/tech company in an analytical and/or strategic role
• Complex modeling experience with exceptional Excel skills required
• Strong work ethic, ability to prioritize across multiple projects, and thrive in a high-stakes environment
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
• Bachelor's degree majoring in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Business with strong academic performance

NICE-TO-HAVES
• Experience in content, digital media, technology, and/or buy-side negotiations
• Proficiency with data extraction, organization, and visualization
• Passion for film, television content, and media strategy
