The Job
As a member of the Content Research Center of Excellence (COE), you will be responsible for conducting innovative qualitative and quantitative research supporting HBO Max original content. This position is a part of a team of strategic research & insights storytellers who partner closely with programming, development, and marketing stakeholders on original content and marketing strategy insights. Your storytelling skills will transform data into actionable insights to support exceptional content creation.

This position requires someone who has a strong understanding of creative and research processes and how the two intersect most efficiently. You are a self-starter, deeply curious, exceptionally organized, and proactive.

What You'll Do
• Support projects like pilot and binge studies from design through delivery to uncover and disseminate actionable insights
• Create target audiences and deliver insightful learnings to shape marketing campaigns through creative positioning and spot/copy studies
• Uncover trends and gaps to inform content strategy
• Collaborate with research vendors while ensuring adherence to best practices, timelines, and deliverables
• Develop and maintain norms database for all content studies
• Schedule meetings with internal stakeholders and research vendors
• Some travel may be required

What To Bring
• 1+ years of experience in quantitative and qualitative research, grounded in established survey methodologies, questionnaire writing, analytical techniques, report writing, and focus groups/IDIs
• Ability to find the story within the data and translate into actionable insights through clear and concise writing and contextually impactful data visualization
• Ability to craft a story based on a variety of inputs including quant. and qualt.
• Solid organizational and multitasking skills with a strong dedication to getting things done
• Creative investigation skills to understand how data sets work together

• Capability to ideate and try new ideas
• Support for next level manager, under the guidance of the Vice President
• A passion for television shows and movies
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• A bachelor's degree in a related field or 1-2 years relevant experience

Nice-To-Haves
• Experience at a Direct-To-Consumer/SVOD/AVOD or research company
• Research methodology education and statistical knowledge
• Knowledge of media measurement methodologies and tools (ex. Nielsen, Comscore)
