The Opportunity

Leveraging Netflix's innovative and fast paced culture, you will support the company's new Sustainability Strategy by working with the Content division to raise awareness of environmental issues through Netflix's existing and future content slate. This position reports to the Director, Sustainability Officer, and is based in London.

Responsibilities
• Serve as a subject matter expert for sustainability as it relates to Content, providing related guidance and support to internal teams and also third party stakeholders such as industry organizations, environment organizations, regulators, etc.
• With the Content division leadership, assess the current and future content slate to understand the current state of climate/environmental issues woven in, either overtly or incidentally
• With behavioral scientist and marketing experts, define an evidence-based Netflix point-of-view on what approaches to content are highest impact when it comes to a) raising awareness that drives viewership, especially acquisition and retention of younger viewers, b) driving empowerment and action, not demoralizing or guilt-tripping viewers
• With the Product division, analyze target members' top-of-mind climate/environmental issues and how Netflix can respond to those in an authentic way
• Coordinate across multiple divisions a strategy for embedding sustainability into content while maintaining creative license.

Preferred Qualifications
• Advanced Degree in Environmental Science, Policy and Management or equivalent
• 8+ years of international experience in sustainability in the entertainment industry.
• Confident in communicating with executives, various internal teams and third party stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement a strategy with successful execution in developing and managing complex international projects.
