Senior Backend Developer / Senior DevOps (Linux)

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. ("MGM") is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer / Senior DevOps (Linux) to join its Media Technology Group (MTG). The ideal candidate will work with MTG team members, vendors, and executives to deliver complex multi-disciplinary technology projects.

Responsibilities:
• Designing and building highly scalable infrastructures from ground level to highly efficient paradigms that enable rapid growth of both human proficiency and developing technologies
• Mastery with system and operations management, backend development, and cloud services scaling built upon a deep understanding of industry patterns and best practices
• Contributing to technical teams, mentoring, and project management to foster growth and leadership in high growth organizations
• Expertise in communicating technical data to business analysts, software developers, and project management personnel

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 10+ years' experience as a Senior Software Developer or Senior DevOps Engineer with the ability to code
• Experience in Media and Entertainment industry preferred
• Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with various SDLC methodologies
• Experience leading project delivery using both agile and waterfall methodology
• Ability to see big picture and still understand/manage details
• Highly responsive with strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and juggle multiple deadlines and projects while keeping peers, partners, and supervisor abreast of activities
• Self-motivated, accountable, highly organized, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
