Overview and Responsibilities
Our team is growing, and we are looking for a Contracts Manager who is fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese to join the International Consumer Products team! This person will play a key role within the Consumer Products ('CP') legal team and will be responsible for ensuring a fast, efficient and consistent turnaround time for all deals across all territories, whilst providing the business with a high level of professional service at all times. This role is based out of our New York headquarters.

Responsibilities Include:
• Managing one Junior Contracts Manager
• Managing, drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts for CP (i.e. toy, merchandise, content, digital and promotions) and LBE deals globally (liaising directly with Vice President)
• Assisting with ad-hoc marketing enquiries as needed
• Maintaining relationships internally and externally (i.e. agents and licensees)
• Assisting with reports, research, counterfeit sightings, debt collection and litigation matters as needed
• Maintaining templates, suggesting updates and crafting new templates, as requested, for review and approval of Senior Counsel's VP of BALA
• Liaising with Intellectual Property team regarding IP infringement matters and supporting Senior Counsel with day to day IP protection matters
• Assisting Senior Counsel and/or VP of BALA on special projects, and assisting other Junior Contracts Managers and Senior Contracts Managers as needed

Basic Qualifications
• Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is required (oral and written)
• Highly experienced paralegal - certificate in paralegal studies or contract management preferred
• Strong understanding of Intellectual Property and contracts law required
• Confident autonomously drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements and amendments
• Management experience essential

Additional Qualifications
• Proficiency in Portuguese is preferred
• Experience working in-house preferred, but will consider applicants from private practice background that have experience managing their own caseload and dealing directly with clients
• Strong commercial awareness
• Ability to succinctly explain key issues and provide meaningful advice/solutions to business teams
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to understand numbers in a business/financial context
• Excellent time management skills
• Accuracy and speed to ensure fast and efficient turnaround times
• Ability to cope with demanding workload and maintain high standards under pressure
• Ability to work well both independently and with other team members, other internal departments, agents and licensees
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly across multiple cultures and languages
• Willing and able to assist other team members with drafting contracts/amendments as needed, and providing excellent and professional service at all times
