The Role

The Production Finance team at Netflix is responsible for estimating and managing the production costs throughout the lifecycle of each production and provides insight and analytics to inform decision-making. The team understands the operations of a production and guides each project through its financial workflows required for a successful launch on the service

The Production Finance Associate will be part of our International Original Film team based in our London office. This role is to support our Production Finance Manager on our partner-produced Features slate.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely and collaboratively across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)
• with numerous Netflix teams, including: Physical Production, Business and Legal Affairs, Post Production, VFX, Content creatives, Tax and Content accounting
• Budget tracking, review, and commentary
• Development, Writer and Production Company contract payments and tracking
• Update production finance information in Netflix systems, including: processing production fundings, tracking payments, consolidating finance information and updating cash forecasts
• Onboard and offboard production accounting teams to Netflix systems
• Analyzing and reviewing cost reports and budgets for tracking throughout the life-cycle of a production, including communication with our producing partners
• Establish and maintain close contact with our producing partners and be their point of contact in all financial matters
• Help and guide third party production companies' accounting teams to implement new procedures and adjust to the Netflix reporting requirements
• Ad hoc projects and analysis as needed

Requirements:
• Proven entertainment industry experience focusing on production accounting or production finance
• Must possess a high level of intellectual curiosity with a focus on generating results
• Must thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment
• Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse multicultural team
• Must be self-motivated, disciplined, highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
• Must exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving and analysis utilizing financial applications
• Proficiency in Excel and proven experience with various software applications
• Knowledge in production accounting/financial systems
