Job Description

The Technical Operations at Disney Streaming Services team serves to shape the technical procedures to be employed by operators in day-to-day business. They accomplish this by working alongside engineers and software developers to gain insight into how backend services and infrastructure are built and the details of their workflows.

This allows them to better understand how to monitor and support vital workflows that deliver our products to our customers. In addition, we function as the DevOps for these services teams and carry out certain tasks on their behalf such as scaling, triaging, building dashboards and being the Tier 1 on-call support for selected teams.What you'll do:-Work side-by-side with our Media Operations team to ensure data, services, media and distribution mechanics function properly to serve all streaming media properties.
-Lead engagement efforts between Technical Ops and Back-end engineers
-Follow Agile development cycles and collaborate with Technical Project Management leads.
-Mentor and develop the growth of junior Technical Analysts.
-Monitor, analyze and comprehend data analytics to anticipate and resolve day-to-day technical problems in multiple toolsets: Kibana, Grafana, Cloudwatch, DataDog, New Relic and Splunk.
-Creatively solve complex data and media issues proactively, in-flight and posthumously.
-Provide detailed explanations to Production Operations and Customer Service with technical knowledge and understanding of incident management.
-Create Root Cause Analysis reports for incidents.
-Execute and monitor production deployments (planned and unplanned) across various back end systems in a fast-paced environment.
-Has to be certified or have exhibited equivalent competency in cloud computing or analytical discipline.
What you'll need:-In-depth understanding of data synthesis and processing from origination to completion
-Certified or has exhibited equivalent competency in cloud computing or analytical discipline
-Knowledgeable understanding of programming languages
-Passionate about leadership and helping team members reach shared goals
-6+ years of experience in a technical field
