Job Description
Your New Role:

The Director, Theatrical Development is responsible for the development of material for feature films.

Your Accountabilities:
• Identifies Alloy properties as well as outside material to be adapted, developed, pitched and sold to movie studios.
• Finds writers/directors and new talent to fill open assignments.
• Generates story/meeting notes and writer/director lists as needed.
• Maintains competitive development reports and tracks all competitive projects.
• Performs additional related responsibilities as required

Qualifications & Experience:

Work Experience
• Minimum 6+ years relevant work experience
• Minimum 2 years of executive level experience in development at a studio, network, streamer or production company

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• College degree in related field strongly preferred

Knowledge/Skills
• Knowledge of feature films and/or television (past and present).
• Pop culture and social media awareness.
• Excellent communication skills - Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, in person, on the telephone and in writing
• Strong critical thinking and persuasion skills.
• Knowledge of story structure.
• Strong background in creative analysis, script reading and providing notes.
• Ability to generate creative ideas for projects.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a collaborative working style.
Other Requirements
• Must be able to work well under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task, organize and schedule work effectively.
• Must be detail-oriented.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, if and when necessary.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $83,090.00 - $154,310.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
