Job Description
Interscope is currently seeking a Director, International Digital for our Santa Monica, CA office. The Director will spearhead exUS digital marketing initiatives for the label's roster. They are responsible for building out the digital, mobile and social components of an artist's overall marketing plan – including but not limited to: digital promotions, artists website development and optimization, fan acquisition and engagement, creation/implementation of digital tools and products to increase fan engagement, paid media campaigns, etc.
• Define, plan, and execute exUS digital marketing campaigns for a roster of artists in line with the artist and domestic teams vision
• Heavy research of artist communities and word-of-mouth analysis (reading and analyzing blogs, other artist sites, etc.).
• Quantify the success and efficiency of digital promotions, paid media campaigns, eCommerce efforts, social engagement and partnerships via various analytics tools.
• Manage relationships with top-level artists, managers, and other partners.
• Discover new sites and outlets to promote artists and maintain relationships with key sites and partners.
• Working alongside relevant Global Marketing leads, this position will constantly be analyzing streaming data, short form content optimization and liaising with relevant commercial/streaming, digital team contacts ex-US
• Drive direct to consumer revenue from recorded music sales, merchandise, ticketing, advertising, and subscription.
• Create and manage database marketing campaigns to find new fans and optimize conversions.
• Identify viral, digital word-of-mouth marketing opportunities with the goal of driving traffic, fan acquisition, and creating brand awareness for artists.
• Build and liaise trusting and professional relationships with creators, creator management teams and creator agencies from around the world
• Works in partnership with VP, International Digital to develop, execute and manage the use of paid media in all ICLG Priority marketing campaigns across key exUS markets
• Manages daily development and execution of media plans for specified International ICLG releases, working closely with International Marketing leads to ensure plans are on-strategy and aligned with global objectives while properly nuanced for each individual market (optimmising for markets with their own local platforms ie: XX):
- France & Brazil: Deezer
- Mexico: Claro Musica
- Japan: RecoChoku, AWA, KKBox, & LINE Music
- Korea: Melon, Ginie Music + YouTube Music
- China: NetEase, QQ + Kugou
- India: Gaana, JioSaavn, Wynk Music & Hungama
• Works closely with VP International Digital on development and management of global strategic partnerships and programs and activating global paid media campaigns when we see a spike in virality or a priority release/campaign is forthcoming
• In collaboration with International Media team, manages relationship with central media agency team while also working closely with territory-specific agencies to drive strategic thought leadership and develop best-in-class paid media campaigns
• Works alongside marketing analytics teams to develop robust test and learn agendas and provide regular measurement and insight updates on paid media campaigns
• Directly oversees the planning and buying for central media campaigns for all international campaigns for ex-US territories for ICLG releases alongside International Marketing Team and US Digital Team

Skills/Abilities:
• Must have 7-10+ years of experience in digital marketing within the music industry, preferably at a major label.
• Strong analytical background and ability to create and update reports.
• Have a minimum of 3+ years experience working and managing Influencer accounts across various genres.
• Have a finger on the pulse of what's going on in urban and pop culture, across key internet trends, apps, influencers, etc.
• Ambitious individual sought who is a self-starter requiring minimal direction.
• Candidates should be creative, innovative, detail-oriented and resourceful. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task
• Build and manage artist budgets to support online marketing
• Knowledge of social media best practices and how to put together a social media plan, build a fan base, etc.
• Excellent communication oral and written skills are a must. Candidate will be collaborating with presenting campaigns to and contextualizing results for a broad audience every week.
• Social strategy and paid media planning experience preferred.
• Must be proficient with using Excel, PowerPoint or Keynote, Photoshop, video editing software (Premiere or Final Cut), and comfortable with collaboration and asset management tools like Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote, Basecamp and the like.
• Must thrive in a team environment but be able to take initiative and work independently.
• Candidate must have strong computer knowledge of various music applications and excellent knowledge of the Internet.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
