SUMMARY
Hulu's Web team is seeking a Software Developer with a passion for developing performant, consumer-facing experiences using modern web technologies. Our team collaborates with both technical and non-technical teams to deliver engaging experiences for our subscribers. As a developer on web team, you'll build and deploy the sign-up experience used by millions of users. If you are excited about the Web and interested in changing the landscape of television, we'd love to meet you!
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Build APIs that power subscriber sign-up flow and the product upsell experience across all devices
• Partner with the UX design team to transform mock-ups into engaging, accessible web experiences
• Collaborate with Product Managers to ensure we're focusing on the right features for our users

WHAT TO BRING
• Proficient in web technologies and the browser environment
• Experience building and scaling APIs.
• Strong passion for building complex web applications and delivering world-class user experiences
• 5+ years developing large, well-tested JavaScript or Java applications
• Strong debugging skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• BS degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

NICE-TO-HAVES
• Experience shipping a production React/Node.js application or Java application
• Experience with developing applications in cloud platforms (AWS)
• Experience developing & deploying applications enhanced with Progressive Web Application (PWA) technologies
• Experience working with Agile methodologies
• Working knowledge of web accessibility fundamentals
• Passionate about pursuing public speaking and blogging opportunities
