Responsibilities

The Manager, Data & Analytics will be responsible for the stewardship of our vast sources of structured and unstructured data and working with the VP Data & Analytics to deploy the necessary ETL processes for reporting, analysis, and advanced modelling (including complex data manipulation/preparation, visualizations and exploratory/predictive analysis). This role will be part of a multi-faceted Data & Analytics team responsible for leading high impact projects across varying functions, including Revenue & Innovation, Programming, Marketing, and Finance Management.
• Works with VP Data & Analytics to identify data-driven solutions given the available data and systems to improve performance of business outcomes across Digital, Programming, Marketing, Finance, and Operations
• Serves as the touchpoint for all data collection/architecture requirements of the Strategy & Insights team
• Works with Sr Manager, Cross Platform Analytics to manage the implementation, measurement and reporting for digital, social and emerging platforms
• Conducts statistical analyses (supervised and unsupervised learning models) to help identify key audience segments, understand audience patterns and highlight risks and opportunities across the Telemundo enterprise
• Leads the forecasting for Annual LRP and build ah-hoc estimates of potential audience sizes for new and established content properties by employing linear regression and other multivariate techniques
• Serves as the liaison with Comcast and NBCU analytics teams to scale enterprise-wide best practices and approaches with respect to data management, BI reporting and advanced analytics
• Educates and trains client teams to retrieve and interpret recurring reports, build dashboards, and perform simple analyses
• Works under the direct supervision of the VP, Data & Analytics and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in in a quantitative field such as Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in data mining, analysis, and modeling, of large scale, complex data sets
• Minimum five (5) years of experience of data preparation
• Exhibits knowledge and/or experience in statistics and the use of statistical packages for analyzing datasets (especially desiring R, SPSS, or SAS knowledge) as well as data querying environments (SQL, Alteryx, or similar data management schemes for assembling and preparing disjoint datasets)
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with a variety of variables in situations where no standardization exists
• Proficient written and verbal communications in English
