Q13 Fox News (Seattle) is seeking an experienced Chief Meteorologist in one of the greatest cities in America! From the Pacific Coast to the Cascade Mountains to Canada, our weather team covers a wide variety of weather phenomenon. It's more than just rain! The snow, the winds, the tides or other major geological events can put you front and center of our team's weather coverage. Western Washington brings out all kinds of dramatic weather which impacts everyone's outdoor and active lifestyles that are beloved in the Pacific Northwest. The successful candidate must have a passion for weather and the ability to sustain superior, continuous coverage for long periods of time on all platforms. We want a leader and team player who can help with every aspect of meteorology, from forecasting, to preparing graphics, to reporting in the field if necessary. The ideal candidate should embrace new technology and is willing to explore new ways to present the next weather story and not just read numbers found on a phone. Helping the entire weather team improve, evolve and innovate is also paramount to success. This meteorologist will love to forecast, explain complicated information and stay cool under pressure. This candidate should also believe in all aspects of community involvement including, but not limited to, speaking at schools and other community functions .

A meteorology degree or related field such as atmospheric sciences and a minimum 4 years on air experience on broadcast television is required. Required to work weekends, holidays and varied hours, etc., as required. Must be able to obtain a Washington driver's license & provide a Motor Vehicle Report and drive a vehicle.
