Senior Staff Engine Programmer

PixelOpus, creator of the award-winning Concrete Genie, is seeking outstanding talent to join our passionate and creative family in crafting an exciting new PlayStation 5 title.

We are seeking a Senior Staff Engine Programmer with a generalist skillset to architect, implement, and modify runtime and tools features of PixelOpus' engine technology and Unreal 5. This position will contribute to our development process as we tackle exciting innovation and creative opportunities through a collaboration with Sony Pictures Animation.

Responsibilities:
• Key contributor to the development of technology of cutting-edge technology within the constraints of the target system and performance characteristics of the game engine. This includes, but not limited to, Systems Architecture and coding, Performance budgeting, Engine modification, etc.
• Architecting and implementing game engine and pipeline technology based on technical and artistic needs, taking advantage of the PlayStation 5
• Maintaining and updating existing systems for increased functionality, memory efficiency, and performance.
• Developing familiarity with hardware details, their capabilities and performance bottlenecks
• Working independently to complete assigned projects with limited supervision
• Crafting comprehensive memory and performance budgets for the team.
• Documenting technical implementation details
• Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technological developments and advancements
• Supplying innovative and original ideas
• Advising and mentoring other programmers across the studio
• Independently recognizing opportunities to improve game systems, tools, engine, or general workflow, and seeking to make these changes.

Requirements:
• Minimum 3-5 years industry or related experience.
• One or more published AAA titles considered a strength.
• B.S. in computer science, engineering, or relevant curriculum.
