CG Lead

Job Description

We are looking for a talented CG lead with Advertising experience to join our team in NY.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a team to create flawless and photo-real 3D imagery and animated content for advertising projects that upholds MPCs high standards and upholds the client's vision, including individual 3D work as needed.
• Drive 3D concepts with the rest of the team through good communication, planning, concepts/sketches, etc.
• Engage with Directors and Agency creatives from initial meetings through to final delivery
• Supervise on-set for all VFX requirements
• Complete high quality work, on time and to specification
• Assist the Production team in breaking-down, bidding and scheduling projects
• Nurture junior talent within the 3D department including helping with technical and creative problems and passing on knowledge when necessary

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• At least 5 years' experience in the production of high-end 3D VFX for Advertising
• Expert proficiency with Maya and/or Houdini.
• Knowledge of advanced 3D modeling, rendering, animation, texturing, lighting, shading, effects and rigging
• Advanced rendering skills with a clean, modern aesthetics (Arnold/Mental Ray)
• Familiarity with pipeline issues and a typical post production environment
• Expertise in general compositing principles (Nuke, Flame)
• Client-friendly with Experience in VFX Supervision
• Proactive and effective communication skills and the ability to lead projects.
• A strong creative eye and a problem-solving attitude
• Time management skills and an ability to meet deadlines.
