Deluxe Animation Studios provide concept-through-delivery development and production services for clients seeking 2D, 3D and hybrid animation services.
Deluxe Animation Studios is growing and we're seeking a highly skilled 3D Shot Finaling Artist for an animated feature film. The role of Shot Finaling Artist is to improve the shaping and movement of hair/fur and cloth simulations on sets and props amongst a team of international artists.
Role Responsibilities:
• Sculpt and reshape the geometry of simulations on sets and props to create better silhouettes and shaping, working from 2D and 3D visual development reference.
• Work from and interpret storyboards, animatics and visual development artwork to create high-quality visuals while maintaining strong shot-to-shot continuity.
• Help meet team targets and quotas.
The Shot Finaling Artist position reports to the Simulation and Finaling Lead.
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Animation, Film, Art or equivalent professional work experience.
• Working knowledge of dynamic hair/fur and cloth simulation in Maya. Experience with other programs a plus.
• Working knowledge of hair/fur creation and grooming in XGen, Shave and a Haircut, or similar programs.
• Working knowledge of sculpting and deforming geometry in Maya and ZBrush. Experience with other programs a plus.
• Link to Demo Reel/Portfolio showcasing 3D hair/fur and cloth simulation work done in recent years.
