Job Description
This position is key for DIGITAL FIRST at WCIA.com. You will be held accountable, and must hit goals established by management. These goals are a post every 30 minutes. Candidate must learn new technology, use training tools and webinars, and retain the knowledge to move this position forward. We know this is evolving and we will adjust as we learn more from our users and adapt to changes in our product
This position will be responsible for the hour by hour execution of the digital content plan. This includes showcasing news, weather, and sports content on the platforms. Ownership of the ''rundown'' of stories on the site and the elements in those stories is a major part of the producer task. The position will also work with journalists stories, regional content, national
content of interest and other tasks as assigned. Responsible for hitting a target content development number per day set by market.
○5:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
○Post News releases
○Post Live Video
○Post Videos from field crews
○Gather up unassigned enterprise content for site by attending editorial meeting
○Dig for more information
○Monitor social feeds
○Trending stories and position them as SOCIAL MEDIA giveaways
○Social engagement (Original Twitter & Facebook Posts by using video and sound to promote stories)
○Oversee story starters from day-side crew
○Video posts (100 Percent)
○Graphics
○Embed social media posts and create a session that holds users past two minutes and thirty seconds.
○Independent Enterprise Producing
○User Generated items included in articles
○Alerting line producers about DIGITAL FIRST CONTENT with drivers
○Digital Tracker
○Push Alerts
○Other Duties as assigned
