DESCRIPTION:

CBS Newspath is looking for a Vice President to lead its team in serving 200+ domestic CBS affiliates and 200+ foreign clients. This position requires dynamic and intuitive leadership; a person who seeks new, interactive and financially viable ways to showcase Newspath newsgathering/producing and Newpath correspondents to its hundreds of clients around the world. Candidates must have a broad and current knowledge of national politics, national and global events and a passion for working with Newspath affiliates to find synergies and co-branded opportunities centered around original reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This position also requires a strong appreciation and fundamental understanding of the digital news space, both editorially and technically. Candidate must also have working knowledge of broadcasting technology and the ability to assess new technology which may aid clients in their newsgathering efforts. Candidate must be able to motivate and direct a diverse and multi-layered team, always keeping the needs of clients first. This position also requires a team player who can work toward Newspath business goals while also working with colleagues leading other CBS platforms.
