Senior Manager, TV Production Finance Systems

The Senior Manager of TV Production Finance Systems is responsible in managing day to day operations for Sony Pictures Television (SPT) productions finance systems inclusive of managing onboarding/offboarding of all finance personnel, set up data systems for all finance systems and related interfaces to multiple feeder systems as they relate to production accounting/finance for all domestic and international TV production. The Senior Manager reports directly to the VP, Production Finance, Tax Incentives and Systems. The applicant will work with TV Production and Post- Production Executives, respective vendors, clients, Finance Management, Business Affairs and Legal and Labor, auditors, production accountants and production personnel in addition to studio representatives.

Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of production data and finance systems
• Responsible for setting up of production accounting software and ensuring timely systems' access for production finance management and production accountants globally
• On boarding and off boarding all finance personnel
• Data Administrator for 35+ systems/applications overseeing applicable SOX controls
• Data Custodian for all TV Production Finance
• Partner with multiple IT/data personnel and management on applications/enhancements/issues both internal and external to SPT
• Business Project Manager for all finance/data projects
• Supervise team of 3-4 personnel inclusive of training
• Implementation of all new applications, processes, procedures as they relate to TV production accounting
• Responsible for digital office controls and SOX controls as they relate to financial systems
• Collaboration with Legal/Business Affairs/Product Management/Corporate Finance as they relate to legal entities, union/guilds and consolidation in TV Production

Qualifications & Experience:
• 4 year college degree required and MS/MA degree preferred
• 7+ years in TV Production/Development/Administration required
• Proficiency in Location Accounting systems (Vista/PSL/EASE), Excel, MS Word and Outlook
• Working knowledge and prior experience with SAP is required
• In depth knowledge, understanding and experience in TV development, production and post -production processes
• Knowledge of studio environment is required
• Understanding and experience in digital products in production and entertainment industry
• Understanding of guilds/unions as they relate to production finance
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics
