Job Description

Responsibilities
Business Analytics & Research is part of the Intellectual Property Analytics, Operations, and Technology team (IPAOT) within the NBCUniversal Legal Department. Within IPAOT, the Business Analytics & Research team provides consumer research, reporting, and advanced analytics to measure the effect content protection (anti-piracy) strategy has on how consumers interact with our video content & other products. This role will focus primarily on reporting & advanced analytics.
• Apply quantitative expertise ranging from data visualization to advanced statistical models
• Support the analytics needs of IPAOT across the following areas:
• Data Sourcing & Warehousing
• Data Cleaning & Preparation
• Exploratory Analysis
• Visualizations & Monitoring Key Metrics
• Statistical Analysis
• Process Automation​
• Assist with the creation of deliverables and messaging to executive stakeholders
• Support multiple cross-functional projects and independently manage your own work streams end-to-end
• Ensure the quality and timeliness of analytic deliverables meet IPAOT expectations
• Contribute and build upon best practices and detailed documentation

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related technical field
• 3+ years of work experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Science space
• Proficiency in SQL
• Knowledge of Tableau or similar visualization tool
• Knowledge of a statistical analysis tool like Python or R
• Knowledge of statistics and data mining techniques (e.g. Hypothesis testing, regression modeling)
• Ability to develop clear and concise thoughts into recommendations and findings
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA. Role will initially be remote, but ultimately will be based in our Universal City, CA offices.

• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills including effective visual representation of complex data
• Experience communicating results of analyses to leadership teams
• Experience with experimental design and AB testing
• Experience with econometrics, machine learning, or other advanced statistical modeling (including but not limited to difference in difference, fixed effects, instrumental variables)
• Prior experience in content, digital media, and/or technology
