The Job
CNN Intern, Fareed Zakaria GPS

The Daily
The tasks could include, but are not limited to:
• Interns assist in all aspects of production: pitching ideas, researching stories and guests, preparing for tapings and gathering videos.
• The internship provides a real look at program development and execution.
• Interns can expect to learn production and research techniques, assisting the team in all program requirements.
• Interns will gain experience in a control room for tapings and live Sunday shows.

The Essentials
• Candidates should be passionate about news, self-motivated, able to multitask, have a good attitude, and be able to function well in fast paced, high volume environment.
• Interns must demonstrate a passion for international politics and economics.
• Thursday availability is a must, skills in video production and foreign language skills are preferred.

The Fall 2020 program dates for this position is October 5th through December 20th. The internship will be a full remote/virtual experience. Most internships will provide a company owned laptop for the duration of the internship program. Interns are paid a competitive wage based on team/bureau location and relocation is not provided as the program is fully remote/virtual. Participation in the internship program is reserved for students who are currently enrolled in college or within 6 months post-graduation. Most positions are targeted to upperclassmen and graduate students.
