Overview and Responsibilities

In this role you will manage long range planning, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting and management reporting across all global licensing & distribution revenue, including the sale of exciting content from CBS, the CW, CBS All Access, Showtime, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon and its related brands! The role is responsible for driving profitable growth through meaningful, data managed decision support; ensuring that sound fiscal field is in place. How would you like to be in role that will play a critical part in helping the President achieve annual budget targets including Revenue, Profit & Cash and any other targets specified in the annual budget? We want to ensure the division remains within its annual headcount and overhead budget!

Coordinate closely with both the Paramount and the CBS Finance Business Partners; since the Revenue, Profit and Cash has a significant and direct impact on the achievement of those divisions' annual and long range budget objectives.

This role is embedded within the business working closely with and providing decision support to the President and leadership team as well as the content business leaders and their leadership teams. Be hands on and knowledgeable about the business and revenue streams. We require financial sophistication, critical thinking, operational support and commercial acumen. Identify and run risks in the business, particularly in the area of new business and customer contracts. Additionally the Lead must improve the revenue and profit growth trajectory and help effectively manage working capital.

The role will also manage specific order to cash activities, revenue, performing billing, collections and some cash application with support. Partner with the Finance Tech leader & IT to consolidate systems and automate work, where appropriate.

Collaborate with HR Business Partners to ensure all compensation and headcount budgets are adhered to.

The SVP will also lead, motivate and develop their own Finance team. They will need to help allocate their team's time, focus them on the right work, provide constructive evaluations and feedback, support their professional development through appropriate business/finance training and apprenticeship, and help build compelling career paths.

Collaborate with the ViacomCBS Controller on accounting decisions and will assist the President, Global Content Licensing in attesting that the reported financial results are a fair representation of the business activity. The role must be familiar with internal controls and accounting policy and procedures.

The Lead will ensure their organization adheres to the policies and processes set by the respective functional leaders and will serve as the main point of contact for the division's financial obligations.

Basic Qualifications
• Provide strong leadership of the revenue function, taking responsibility for improving its financial management
• Encourage teams professional impact and a culture of feedback, development, support and growth
• Initiate and develop broad financial strategies to help frame the business plan for Content Licensing and align it with the broader organizational objectives
• Act as a business lead to the Leadership Team, providing support for revenues to help achieve business goals and objectives
• Drive and accelerate growth, improve margins and improve working capital through operational improvements and use of innovative technology
• Provide a framework of overall financial field, against which financial planning and control is exercised
• Build a rigorous and robust financial management capability and demonstrate a hands-on approach of understanding and challenging the business
• Build and maintain a coordinated view of financial performance and KPI's across all forms of content globally for ViacomCBS as an enterprise
• Understand key operational drivers and add value to the business leaders
• In collaboration with Corporate Finance, Content Finance Business Leads, Human Resources, and other Revenue Business Leads, prepare the long range plan, annual budget, and monthly forecasts in accordance with the standards set by Corporate Finance
• Develop tools and techniques to improve underperforming commercial accounts while collaborating with operational leaders
• Prepare and deliver management reporting including the standard management reporting package; provide ad-hoc management reporting on Content Licensing
• Manage select cash application processes

Additional Qualifications
• Lead all aspects of cash collections, capital spend as well as other working capital to ensure cash flow meets plan
• Handle risks; particularly related to all new business opportunities, models and client contracts
• Support Controllership to ensure accuracy, timeliness and transparency in accounting decisions related to Content Licensing, that US GAAP is accurately applied, and the efficacy of internal controls as required under U.S. Sarbanes Oxley legislation.
• Ensure adherence by the functional leaders of Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Payroll, Tax or Treasury
• Collaborate with others such as Finance Technology Leader and IT, to implement/improve large systems such as ERP/General Ledger or content licensing systems
• Partner closely with other VIAC entities that the team acts as licensor for – Showtime, Paramount Network, Nick
