The Challenge Ahead

Reporting to the QA Project Manager, you will be the contact between QA and the Design Team providing clear feedback to help improve player experiences and the quality of the game.

QA Leads are champions of best practice and new ideas in testing, playing an important role in driving our craft forward. They shape testing procedures and ensure accurate execution and reporting of all testing activities by the wider QA team for their area(s) of ownership.

You Will
• Oversee the test strategy for gameplay features and systems ensuring accurate reporting of status and risk.
• Participate in daily development stand-ups and share updates with the wider QA team.
• Develop an intimate understanding of the gameplay systems and their associated requirements; share details and updates with the wider QA team.
• Support playtests, aligning goals and ensuring capture of feedback and bugs from all parties.
• Utilise telemetry to measure user behaviour against design intentions.
• Use development tools to guide issue identification upstream and promote defect prevention.
• Identify high value automation and telemetry requirements for features/systems in their ownership area.

You Need
• A passion for quality.
• Previous game or software development QA experience across multiple titles.
• Knowledge of gaming consoles and their systems.
• Experience providing detailed qualitative feedback.
• Experience performing design testing reviews.

Bonus Points For
• Experience with game engine editors (e.g. Frostbite, Unreal Engine, or Unity).
• Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Programming, scripting, or database experience, (e.g. C#, Python, JavaScript, T-SQL, or MySQL).
• Experience with test automation and telemetry systems.
