Job Description

Universal Music is in the process of consolidating their Finance and Controlling solutions into a single Global solution primarily based around SAP. The solution has so far been rolled out across 23 countries including UK, France, Germany, USA and Japan. There are currently 21 countries awaiting SAP implementation with many of the rollouts being mid-flight.

UMG’s Global Finance Operations team consists of 20 members, and this position is centred around the RTR financial activities.

We are looking for a person with a solid finance background combined with a knowledge of IT systems and process to take an active and independent role in a team primarily focused on the responsibilities listed below.

Skills & Experience

Be Financial
• Discuss finance controlling scenarios with business end users, and adapt the requirements to the UMG SAP template, as you evaluate merits and ROI of business requirements (GAP analysis), ranging from small CR’s and GAPs to multiple projects.
• Manage day-to-day interaction with the OpCo teams during the roll-out phase.
• BPA will be responsible for serving as a bridge between end users and both IT and Support, including Europe, Asia and North America.
• Managing change requests; analysing and delegating where appropriate.

Be Organised
• Liaising with the Solution Architects as they realise the specification, build or configuration.
• Delivering tasks in a timely fashion in order to avoid delays.
• Working on multiple parallel projects at one time.
• Travel will be required.

Personal Specification
Necessary
• Solid experience in Financial Accounting, with emphasis on reporting.
• Must be project minded with ability to prioritise workload to changing demands
• Strong SAP knowledge as an end user (FI, CO, BW – PS would be a plus)
• Strong command of English language (second language is desirable)
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Pro-active in managing workload

Desirable
• Change management experience.
• Part qualified or above in CIMA or ACCA.
• Experience from the media / content industry.
