The Job

Located in New York and reporting to the Manager, HBO Editorial Strategy & Social Media, this position will be responsible for writing, editing, and pitching content for HBO.com and HBO brand social channels.

The Daily
• Responsible for writing website copy and social copy to support HBO programming and brand initiatives.
• Produce error-free copy that adheres to HBO's style guide.
• Write high-engagement social media copy that reflects the HBO brand voice.
• Work with Content Marketing and Digital Production to write weekly and ad hoc show page updates.
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines.

The Essentials
• 2-3 years' experience in copywriting or related field.
• Experience as a copywriter or editor for media or entertainment brand.
• Experience should show a mix of website and social media - very important that this writer is versatile across all digital platforms.
• Experience using a CMS (AEM preferred).
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
• Interest in, and knowledge of, HBO programming is required for the role.
• Possible overtime or weekend work may be required.
