Sr QA Analyst

Job Description

The Quality Assurance team is responsible for validating all work before it goes to production, this includes software: web, mobile, connected device applications, media, non-consumer facing products and more. Additionally, the Quality Assurance teams creates and maintains the framework used for automation testing at DSS and performs all performance testing.

The Senior QA Analyst will be responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of QA activities for Disney Streaming Services applications. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing requirements, user stories, and design documentation to ensure that they are clearly defined, complete, and testable. The senior analyst will be responsible for guiding the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify new and existing (regression) software functionality. The ideal candidate will contribute both to the definition and the enforcement of quality assurance processes and procedures based on best practice methodology.

Responsibilities:
• Provide direction for all QA resources during the testing cycle.
• Proactively learn and coach testers on the backend infrastructure, new testing and technology trends, upcoming releases.
• Accountability for planning and managing test activities, creating detailed test plans and writing test cases.
• Work with automation team to apply new technologies and automated test solutions (proprietary and open-sourced) for implementation.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experienced in leading and coordinating all aspects of QA activities.
• Sr level experience in analyzing requirements, user stories, and design documentation to ensure that they are clearly defined, complete, and testable.
• Ability to lead the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify new and existing (regression) software functionality.
• Able to lead both to the definition and the enforcement of quality assurance processes and procedures based on best practice methodology.

Required Education
• BS or BA degree preferred or equivalent work experience
