Join over 60 Photojournalists, Editor/Producers and Media Coordinators who contribute their exceptional technical skills and creativity to the production of CNN, CNNE, and HLN primetime and long-form television shows.

The Job
CNN Image & Sound Intern

The Daily
• Work closely with CNN Photojournalists on field shoots and in-house interviews.
• Assist with lighting, audio, and camera set up for shoots and interviews.
• Shadow primetime and long-form edit assignments with CNN Editor/Producers.
• Develop skills with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and other software used throughout CNN.
• Edit personal projects and work towards editing CNN assignments.
• Learn and utilize CNN's media management systems and procedures.

The Essentials
• Production, broadcast, or communications background desired.
• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere is a plus.
• Ability to self-motivate and work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment is a must.

The Fall 2020 program dates are October 5th through December 4th. The internship will be a full remote/virtual experience. Most internships will provide a company owned laptop for the duration of the internship program. Interns are paid a competitive wage based on team/bureau location and relocation is not provided as the program is fully remote/virtual. Participation in the internship program is reserved for students who are currently enrolled in college or within 6 months post-graduation. Most positions are targeted to upperclassmen and graduate students.
