Payroll Analyst

San Mateo, CA

The Payroll Analyst is a vital role designed to provide leading payroll services support to Sony Interactive Entertainment. This position is responsible for collaborating with payroll vendors to process bi-weekly payrolls as well as off-cycle payrolls, calculating and auditing retroactive payments, and ensuring quality control measures are implemented and adhered to. The Payroll Analyst seeks continuous process improvement, supports lean process initiatives and strives to execute standardized processes that deliver timely and accurate payroll results.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Accountable for support of bi-weekly payroll processing for US and Canada
• Lead coordination of time and manual input entries in preparation for processing payroll
• Troubleshoot any errors or fallouts as part of the quality control process
• Direct off-cycle payments when required and execute root cause analysis for process improvements
• Accountable for updates to the payroll standard operations manual
• Coordinate funding of applicable payments and third-party distributions
• Knowledge of inpatriate/expatriates payroll processes
• Coordinate collection of overpayments
• Troubleshoot and resolve payroll interface errors and other payroll data issues
• Communicate with stakeholders to effectively resolve payroll issues and inquiries
• Proactively monitors and advises customers and stakeholders on critical issues affecting service delivery
• Deliver exceptional customer experience, resulting in high customer satisfaction
• Manage responsive, accurate, and timely resolution for common Payroll inquiries
• Ensure secure handling of confidential information

Required Qualifications

Experience: 4 years of relevant experience

Computer Applications: Microsoft Office, ADP Vantage, ADP WorkforceNow, Workday, eTime, ServiceNow ticket system
