JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX Sports Digital is seeking an experienced Vice President of Business Development to join our team in Los Angeles. As our Vice President, you will identify and analyze business opportunities, negotiate contracts and follow deals through completion to execution. You will manage digital partnerships on behalf of FOX Sports as well as evaluate business development opportunities for FOX Sports. You will also play a vital supporting role in analyzing potential programming acquisitions. Additionally, you will manage business operations for the digital team, including strategic planning and budget management. You will dually report to the Executive Vice President of Digital and the Executive Vice President of FOX Sports, whom you will work to develop and drive revenue goals across various properties.

As our Vice President, you will be a central figure across the organization, liaising and collaborating frequently with most other groups (including, but not limited to, Legal, Finance, Distribution Sales, Corp Dev, Sales, Product). In your business development function, you are responsible for coordinating deal flow through legal and finance and ongoing partnership management and operational support. Additionally, you are responsible for helping set overall business strategy and developing presentations for senior management.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead Digital Business Development and Operations team
• Evaluate business development opportunities for Fox Sports including: evaluating new programming opportunities, exploring new partnerships, and other initiatives to help Fox Sports grow its business
• Analyze & prospect new opportunities to achieve overall goals of digital business (revenue, audience, efficiency)
• Identify emerging technologies and potential partners and structure deals with partners to drive value for FOX Sports Digital
• Lead external partnership management and internal communication with Legal, Finance, Distribution Sales, Corp Dev, Sales, Product
• Liaise with Business Affairs and Legal Teams to structure and create commercial deals with external partners and vendors
• Manage commercial elements of vendor relationships related to business operations and product support
• Direct cross-functional teams and facilitate efforts to build new business strategies, rationalize processes, and identify, qualify and present strategic business issues to top management
• Assist in developing and streamlining business operations processes across multiple disciplines
• Work with Finance on budget management, forecasting, and business planning, including quantitative models to support business development and value creation efforts

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 7-10 years with some management experience
• Multiple years of experience with consumer facing digital media businesses
• Fluency in internet technology platforms and digital business models
• Experienced negotiator in technology deals
• Confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• A high impact presence-capable of quickly establishing credibility, influencing constituencies and persuading professionals at all levels
• Deep understanding of the digital media/technology sector and competitive forces at work
• High analytical skills with keen understanding of financial metrics (need to understand budget management) and how they link to driving value
• Excel, Powerpoint, Word
