Job Description

Netflix is the world's leading streaming entertainment service with 193 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, documentaries and feature films across a wide variety of genres and languages. Personalization is at the core of enabling subscribers to watch what they want, when they want on over 1,000 possible devices, including TVs, mobile devices, and web browsers. The Page Personalization Systems Team creates the member homepage experience on all devices as well as genre and related pages. We develop the systems to run complex algorithms and provide fresh recommendations, which is increasingly challenging as the business scales and more of the member experience is personalized. That's where you come in!

The Opportunity

The Page Personalization Systems Team is looking for a senior engineer to design, code, and lead innovation projects to improve the member experience. You will join an experienced, top-notch team of engineers. You will partner with algorithm, infrastructure, and UI teams and provide leadership on cross-functional projects. You will use a data-driven approach and A/B testing to innovate on the member experience. You will work with the team to drive technical direction and make the page personalization systems even more resilient, flexible, and scalable.

Requirements:
• Strong Java skills and knowledge
• Experience leading cross-functional projects
• Experience delivering large-scale systems
• Strong verbal and written communication
• BS and/or MS in Computer Science or related field

Nice to haves:
• Algorithm, recommendations and/or personalization experience
• A/B testing experience
• Experience with big data
• AWS experience
