Responsibilities
Reporting to HRD, the Manager, HR and LATAM projects role is split into two main areas of focus.
The first area of focus is to provide comprehensive HR support across assigned client groups, both in Miami and Latin American region, as applicable.
The other area of focus will be to work across the Latin American region and the various business units, in enhancing our employee experience in region through initiatives that improve our employee life cycle. This will require working closely with the VP HR Latin America, Senior Counsel Labor & Employment Law, in market and business unit HR teams, specialist/COEs teams and local management to achieve results and influence change, propose new policy and procedures, to help deliver an agile and efficient HR function.

Responsibilities: HR Manager
• Provide HR business partnering to assigned client groups in Miami. This will include the full spectrum of HR activities – recruitment, employee relations, training, reward, performance management, etc.
• Lead all communications efforts for the whole business unit population across LATAM (i.e People News, Employee Opinion Survey Comms and Plans, Events, be liaison between Telemundo Center Comms/Employee Experience team and NGDI HR).
• Function as Employee Engagement lead for the region (i.e. comms, strategy, execution of activities as needed).
• Liaise with HR Coordinators to ensure smooth onboarding process for new hires in Miami.
• Provide support with any training that is scheduled, including actual training facilitation and logistics handling.
• Act as Employee Events project lead – manage onsite or offsite activities, including sourcing vendors, taking responsibility for logistics, employee communications, etc.
• Create and manage invoice and purchase order creations for department and manage HR budget in liaison with Finance teams.
• Support HRD in the management of International Networks C&B Budget through close liaison with finance and business.
• Maintain regional organizational charts up-to-date.

Responsibilities: LATAM Projects
• Assess and analyze HR policies in the region and propose changes or develop new ones to ensure alignment with our mission, values, local/state/national law, compliance as well as Global practices.
• Review current HR processes and procedures within the region, identify gaps or efficiencies opportunities, propose improvements or creation of new ones leveraging global practices.
• In conjunction with in country local HR team, internal and external labor counsel and VP HR LATAM, perform regulatory/compliance audits, identify gaps and propose remediation plans.
• Engage appropriate stakeholders and ensure alignment with company culture, as well as effective change management
• Support in market HR teams in developing communication plans for new and updated policies implementation in a conducive and timely manner.
• Assess local HR systems needs performing benchmarks of local and pan regional solutions, assess vendors and develop a roadmap for implementation.
• Accomplish projects by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; expediting fulfillment; evaluating milestone accomplishments; identify optional courses of action; delivering the program.
• Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field of study.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant HR partnering experience.
• Experience in one or multiple Latin American countries.
• Project Management Experience.
• Must be fully fluent in English and Spanish (both written and verbal), Portuguese a plus.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in Miami, FL.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.
