Job Description

RADIO.COM is seeking an SEO Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for building and growing organic traffic in the US, by working in close collaboration with editorial and commercial teams in different cities across our News, Sports, Music and Entertainment content verticals.

The main responsibility of this role is to drive a quality audience to visit and engage with our US digital properties through use of SEO recommendations, content planning, and data analysis. The ideal candidate is an SEO professional with experience driving traffic growth and working closely with editorial teams.

This position can be based in our New York or Philadelphia office

Role Responsibilities:
• Provide editorial teams with keyword, copy, and layout recommendations for implementation based on driving maximum traffic and engagement
• Be our SEO evangelist and educate and workshop editorial teams on SEO guidelines and best practices
• Monitor performance of the site against traffic targets, identifying areas for improvement, and provide recommendations based on SEO research
• Analyze and translate quantitative data from web analytics tools into an actionable audience growth plan that aligns with our content, product, and commercial agenda and that will deliver engaged traffic and revenue; communicate plan to stakeholders
• Provide regular reporting against forecasted goals, and distribute audience growth and actionable performance insights across the organization
• Work closely with editors to create new content or update existing content that helps develop our target audiences
• Monitor competitors and provide recommendations to ensure all local stations have maximum market share
• Help build editorial calendar based on SEO research
• Actively seek out opportunities to improve SEO performance; communicate tactical and strategic recommendations to non-technical/non-analytical audiences
• Help to improve workflows through the analysis of existing editorial and business processes, identifying innovative alternatives, and recommendations for more effective or efficient ways of working
• Provide On-Page Optimization recommendations for META data,headings, internal links and URLs
• Remain up-to-date on SEO best practices, Google algorithm changes, and the search industry. Maintain expert knowledge of SEO and content planning
• Become our in-house expert on the SEO and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, keyword tools, SEMrush, GSC, etc)
• Ad hoc projects supporting the growth and expansion of our company, including sales-based campaign efforts

Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years direct working experience as a Search Engine Optimization professional and/or product strategies for a B2C digital media brand. Additionally:
• Experience working on large websites (over 100k pages)
• Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, GSC, ScreamingFrog and competitive SEO tools required
• Comprehensive knowledge of many SEO concepts and tactics, as well as technical SEO core elements including, but not limited to: Keyword Research, Technical SEO (UX, site architecture, URL structure, XML sitemaps, canonical tags, dynamic/static pages, etc.), On-Page Optimization (Metadata, Headings, Content, Anchor Links, Navigation, etc.)
• Proficient analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions and determine strategies based on data
• Familiarity and working knowledge of web analytics software such as: Google Analytics, Chartbeat, Google Search Console and Google trends
• Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders to understand their needs and transform conversations into action
• Understanding of basic HTML, CSS and code structure as it relates to SEO
