Currently in Poland we are looking for passionate people with various backgrounds to join our team in the fields of FP&A Centre of Excellence, Global Business Services, HR Services and Media Business.

We are currently recruiting to Discovery's FP&A Center of Excellence - organization that maintains worldwide operations.

The role will involve you in standard FP&A routines like forecasting, month end close support, financial performance analysis and reporting, as well as opportunities to work on implementations of new tools for reporting and analytics, support the various initiatives and projects to improve our processes.

You will have the chance to cooperate with highly skilled managers from around the world, technology development teams, financial and reporting experts to develop solutions to the complex business and operational challenges in the fast-growing organization and internal structures.

FP&A COE covers multiple areas where you can start your journey with Discovery and develop your personal career:
• Commercial Controlling

• OPEX Controlling

• Personnel cost controlling

• IT Finance systems / Business Intelligence solutions development

Key Responsibilities:
• Support local finance directors with core FP&A activities such as long and short term planning, reporting and analysis

• Report on month-end results with variance analysis to forecast / budget / prior year

• Design, revamp and work on implementation of dashboards with financial and operational metrics to track actual business performance vs. forecast/budget/prior year with aim to highlight to supported leadership team risks and opportunities and unusual trends

• Providing insight of financial performance through accurate, timely and relevant reporting

• Develop analytics to support your stakeholder groups in commercial or OPEX areas (ie. customer profitability analysis, distribution channels analysis, marketing spend efficiency analysis, organizational structure benchmarking)

• Participate in annual long-range planning & budget cycles by preparing required templates, providing preliminary assumptions to stakeholders and analyzing final submissions

• Supporting financial reviews with data analysis and preparation of insightful presentations

• Driving continuous review and improvement of core FP&A processes by highlighting process, technology, data gaps and recommending solutions to enhance them

• Maintaining high quality data models in company management information systems

• Other ad-hoc responsibilities as required
Our requirements from candidates:
• 3+ years of working experience preferably with experience in FP&A department

• CIMA/ACCA qualified or education in progress desired

• High analytical and quantitative skills

• Solid understanding of forecasting and budgeting processes

• General accounting knowledge

• Knowledge of EPM management reporting systems such as SAP BPC, Hyperion including reports writing and editing

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (including VBA) and Powerpoint

• Willingness to learn and develop BI applications, knowledge of BI systems (ie. Power BI) would be an asset

• Strong communication skills in English, verbal and written to effectively communicate and build relations with different levels of stakeholders

• Excellent attention to detail

• Team player spirit, able to work with other to achieve a common goal
