Overview

The Global Business Office (GBO) of Sony Music Entertainment's Global Finance function drives transformation initiatives and special projects across Sony Music. As part of the GBO, you will drive work that helps to free up business stakeholders across the world from repetitive, high volume tasks so they can focus on higher-value activities.

As the Director of Intelligent Automation and Analytics you will lead GBO's recently established Intelligent Automation program as well as many of the analytical needs of the GBO initiatives, including business case development, benefits tracking and budget planning and analysis.

While leading the Intelligent Automation program, you will drive near term goals of scaling and delivering RPA use cases into regular operations, while continuing to develop the Center of Excellence and its technology capabilities. You'll work closely with business stakeholders to define and deliver projects that generate value for them; with team members within the GBO and our third party delivery partners to implement the automation projects and IS&T and InfoSec to build the automation platform. As the program grows, you will also help to define and champion long-term automation strategy and develop an automation road map starting with traditional RPA and through to more advanced AI / ML, NLP, OCR – driven solutions.

You are someone who is ingrained in the field of innovation and automation, up to date with all new relevant technologies and have an intellectual curiosity about this space. You will have experience working with Blue Prism automation (ideally Blue Prism Cloud) and have been involved across the entire RPA development lifecycle. You should be able to be strategic about your work while also an individual contributor who codes and delves into the details. You should be a 'people person' with experience managing others, and able to build strong working relationships throughout the Company at various levels. You should understand basic principles of process improvement and efficiency analysis. You'll also ideally have good working knowledge of enterprise IT architecture, networking and information security.

Responsibilities

This role will be varied and range from the strategic to the hands-on. You'll need to:
• Identify opportunities to apply technology for process improvement
• Analyze data and processes to identify and scope out improvement opportunities
• Define and prioritize use cases and maintain pipeline of opportunities for development
• Facilitate process mapping exercises to elicit activities, systems, business rules and metrics
• Keep abreast of latest technology tools, and techniques for assessment vs. SME business needs
• Make the case for change
• Identify key cross functional stakeholders and get their input, support, and buy-in for changes
• Develop business cases and metrics to justify and prioritize initiatives according to business value
• Ensure alignment to overall vision and strategy, as well as organizational priorities
• Manage approval and sign off process with across the business, IS&T and InfoSec
• Be hands-on in building automations
• Develop automations to help demonstrate the value of the platform
• Establish clear best-practice for other developers to follow.
• Lead implementation of RPA solutions globally and cross-functionally
• Coordinate multidisciplinary product development teams including business experts and vendors
• Manage risks and resolve issues around quality, scope and timely delivery of initiatives
• Ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions globally and cross functionally
• Manage ongoing performance and value of operationalized RPA capabilities
• Establish and report on key solution and performance indicators
• Lead continuous improvement meetings, document clear actions and enable timeline achievement
• Manage relationships and performance of technology partners (e.g. RPA, Outsourcing Providers), including adherence to SME automation standards
• Develop organizational and team capabilities
• Establish and lead automation center of excellence, network of IA champions, and agile teams
• Build strong working relationships cross-functionally to influence and facilitate collaboration
• Provide team facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and subject matter expertise to team members
• Provide decision support through analytics and insight generation
• Build and maintain analytics tools to address specific and ongoing requirements from GBO leadership, finance transformation program and other projects as required
• Facilitate understanding of analytics through clear and accessible communications and presentations
• Act as a thought partner to GBO leadership on best practice modelling approaches and solutions, and in using the resulting insights to identify options and select the best course of action
