DESCRIPTION:

The ideal candidate will plan, execute and monitor paid digital and social campaigns across Simon & Schuster's titles. Seeking an individual with a love of books, a curiosity about marketing, and the diligence to oversee a diverse group of title campaigns and apply learnings across the organization. This role requires working in close partnership with the Digital Advertising Analyst and the individual imprint's marketing teams, and manages an Advertising Coordinator as well as a portion of another Marketing Coordinator's responsibilities.

Required Skills
• Primary communicator with imprint marketers about all Simon & Schuster consumer and trade advertising
• Responsible for strategic planning of all consumer ad media, budget and timing recommendations
• Plan and execute and/or oversee 40+ social media campaign per month, including implementation, optimization, and delivery of data-driven analysis for all pre-sale, on-sale, and long-tail advertising campaigns
• Work with Digital Ad Analyst to refine reporting tools, streamline analysis, create individual campaign reports and share campaign learnings across imprints
• Deliver reports as requested for completed campaigns/campaigns in progress
• Ability to build close relationships with stakeholders across the organization, as well as with key media representatives
• Keep up to date on new media opportunities and advancement in technologies in consumer and digital marketing
• Oversee AMG/AMS advertising campaigns, including maintaining day-to-day AMS operations, observing trends, and aggressively optimizing keywords and bids to obtain desired ROI
• Communicate trends via recurring AMS Advertising dispatches to marketers/publishers
• Demonstrate ad products and their capabilities to marketing teams

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have 8+ years of book publishing and/or agency experience
• Must have direct response and e-commerce background and proficiency in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and YouTube social platforms, display networks, Google Ad Words, Amazon advertising, and have in-depth knowledge of re-targeting capabilities
• Ability to evaluate, optimize and deliver reports on the effectiveness and impact of paid social and display campaigns
• Demonstrated experience translating data to insights and have the ability to recognize trends and opportunities for imprints across the organization
• Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere
• Ability to clearly and effectively articulate insights and recommended actions
• Strong levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
• Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
