SUMMARY

Hulu is seeking an Associate Designer to be a part of Greenhouse – the Creative Studio within the Marketing Department. This in-house design group helps steward the Hulu Brand and creates marketing materials for our rapidly growing library of licensed and original content, and ad-sales partners. This role requires a passion for Entertainment Marketing and Design, a proactive attitude, solid design foundations, visual problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal skills and a dedicated work ethic.

This role will focus on Hulu's Business-to-Business (B2B) efforts, directly supporting Hulu’s internal teams, from Ad Sales to Content to Research to build beautiful, and engaging communications materials. The right person for this role thrives on building visually engaging solutions to telling complex stories for large and small audiences. WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Develop compelling and provocative visual presentation design that gets attention
• Synthesize on-trend design thinking with data driven communications
• Develop presentation strategy and design for high-profile events such as Comic-Con, CES, industry trade shows
• Support our Ad Sales business with creating systematized design materials
• Work with teams across the Hulu organization to ensure presentation resources exist to support teams
• Help shape the visual toolkit and materials for Hulu’s B2B communications

WHAT TO BRING
• Outstanding online portfolio demonstrating success in crafting compelling layouts, unique problem-solving skills, and drive for creative excellence.
• Ability to convey thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively in verbal and written format
• Creative and conceptual presentation design, a strong ability for visual storytelling
• Solid knowledge of grammar and composition rules required for editing and proofreading material
• Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
• Technically savvy, a whiz at figuring out solutions on-the-fly to tricky issues
• Experience with creating presentations for both small and large audiences
• Authority in Apple Keynote, including animation and a wizard in Microsoft PowerPoint!
• Experienced in graphing and charting in Microsoft Excel and Illustrator
• Strong composition skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Knowledge of both Mac and PC platforms, and the ability to work in and convert files on both platforms

NICE-TO-HAVES
• BA/BS with design or communications-related major
• At least 3 years experience in professional advertising, agency or marketing environment
• Presentation experience required
