The Team
The TBS, TNT & truTV Publicity team:
• Creates and executes awards and publicity campaigns from start to finish for all HBO Max, TBS, TNT and truTV shows.
• Coordinates interviews and appearances in support of the shows.
• Crafts unique angles and tracks relevant press to secure show coverage.
• Covers talent at all appearances and events.
• Maintains relationships with key press.
• Writes and distributes press releases for all show-related announcements.

The Job

The Daily
• Be a vital part of the show publicity team.
• Build and maintain targeted media lists and track coverage for major stories.
• Prepare detailed schedules (both internal and external) for talent press appearances.
• Draft media alerts regarding original programming and programming stunts.
• Edit and proofread press materials such as releases, media alerts, bios, loglines, etc.

The Essentials
• Studied or is currently studying communications, public relations or a related field.
• Extremely attentive to detail with strong editing and communications skills.
• Eager and quick to learn about all aspects of our department.
• Professional in all scenarios you may be placed in, including with talent.
• Experience in publicity, talent relations or event planning is a plus.

The Fall 2020 program dates are October 19th through December 4th. The internship will be a full remote/virtual experience. Most internships will provide a company owned laptop for the duration of the internship program. Interns are paid a competitive wage based on team/bureau location and relocation is not provided as the program is fully remote/virtual. Participation in the internship program is reserved for students who are currently enrolled in college. Most positions are targeted to upperclassmen and graduate students.
