WGME CBS13 / WPFO FOX 23, in Portland, Maine, is a trusted brand providing Maine viewers with local news, weather, sports, entertainment, and social media content. We help grow the most talented people in television. You have an opportunity to work with a team filled with spirit, passion and imagination. We are currently seeking a dynamic full-time News Anchor. We are looking for an outstanding journalist with a great personality who will also be a team leader. Our anchors are newsroom leaders who participate in the planning of our shows and produce content regularly. A competitive passion to win and openness to innovation is mandatory! Our winning candidate will be someone who embraces social media and knows how to consistently engage with the audience .

• Strong Leadership skills
• Smooth/pleasant delivery
• Strong writing skills and news judgment
• Exemplary communication skills
• Ability to exhibit great energy and positivity
• Ability to execute during breaking news events and add context
• The ability to demonstrate enterprise reporting and creativity in story-telling

Requirements and Qualifications:
• You must have at least 5 years of on-air experience
• Live commercial television experience is a must
• Strong ''in-the-field and live'' skills
• You must be a self-starter who can generate his or her own story ideas daily
• Ability to work under deadline and on a flexible schedule is required
• Exceptional written communications skills using a conversational writing style
• Strong editorial judgment and a proven ethical foundation
