Position Overview
Motive Vancouver is looking for a Software Engineering Co-op to join a pre-production team developing an exciting new IP. We are looking for a candidate with passion for games to join a veteran team of game developers who are excited to share their experience building AAA games.
Technical Qualifications
• Work towards a B.Sc. in Computer Science or related field.
• Excellent working knowledge of C++
• Experience in object-oriented design and implementation.
• Knowledge of good software engineering practices.
• Knowledge of memory management, multiple processor use, and runtime optimization.
• Knowledge of how to use a debugger.
• Experience with another programming language(s) (C#, Java, TypeScript) and platforms (tablets, game console) is a major plus.
• Knowledge of source code management, specifically PerForce
Additional Qualifications:
• Passionate about new technology (mobile, gadgets)
• Knowledge of good software engineering practices
• Excellent math skills
• Work with others in a team-oriented environment and be an individual contributor
• Navigate quickly changing project requirements and real-time feedback
