Job Description

Responsibilities:
As a Producer for the Business, Technology and Media unit you will be responsible for pitching, developing, and turning business and consumer news of day pieces for the key NBC News platforms to drive relevant and creative stories.

Job Duties
• Producer will work closely with NBC News Senior Business Correspondent to coordinate editorial priorities.
• This position requires an experienced producer who has a passion for business and technology and media news.
• Produce original news content, primarily for broadcast, including research, conducting interviews, writing and editing scripts, field producing and shooting, and overseeing editing.
• Producer is expected to both pitch story ideas and work on assigned stories developed by the editorial team
• Work with Standards & Legal Team to ensure Editorial Standards of all segments.
• Producer will work closely with NBC News Senior Business Correspondent Stephanie Ruhle to coordinate editorial priorities.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Must have at least 8 years' editorial experience working in production at the network level, preferably within news broadcasting
Must be able to shoot and edit
Must have strong journalistic writing skills, research skills, and editorial judgment
Must have a Bachelor's degree
Must be willing to work overtime, nights, holidays, and weekends, often with short notice
