Sr. Program Associate, Program Scheduling

Team: Program Scheduling

Status: Full-time/Regular/Exempt

The Program Scheduling department is responsible for the creation and distribution of all program offers for broadcast. Reporting to the Director of Program Operations, the Senior Program Associate, Program Scheduling supports the Program Scheduling team in information gathering and communications.

Essential duties will include, but not limited to:
• Employs strong accuracy for creation of PBS Program Offers and in the gathering and dissemination of information to internal and external stakeholders.

• Responsible for the tracking of In-Show Messaging to be inserted in broadcast properties.

• Demonstrates timeliness in gathering information and data in support of Rightsline database

• Meets deadlines to create Daily Digest, a morning recap of the previous day's program offers and updates as well as screening reports.

• Provides support to the area Vice President and Program Scheduling team, as needed.

Requirements for success:
• At least 3 years administrative or programmatic experience in media or arts environment

• Knowledge of television programming, Public Broadcasting Service programming helpful

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

• Attention to detail

• Strong organizational skills

• Strong writing skills, including proofreading & editing

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to successfully meets deadlines

• Comfort with databases

• Capable of self-direction and working with a team
