Job Purpose
The Director will be part of the newly created Center of Excellence designed to drive and promote a first in class professional development program across the NBCU Advertising Sales & Partnerships organization. This program will enable our people to grow professionally while providing the knowledge to effectively sell the suite of NBCU products and platforms to drive growth for our clients, and ultimately for the company.
Responsibilities
The Director will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of innovative professional development and learning experiences that meet the needs of our changing organization and help grow the Learning culture at NBCU Advertising Sales & Partnerships. It will be important this this role partners with the Human Resources team to create professional development strategy in a systematic, comprehensive and cohesive manner across the organization.
The Director will be responsible for launching a newly created L&D platform as part of the COE. Specific responsibilities will include:
• Partner strategically with internal departments to understand key business objectives, product developments and other enhancements. Consistently translate and prioritize these into the training roadmap
• Designs and develops learning programs across various delivery mediums, including in-person training, e-learning modules as well as on the job experience creating a framework for assessing, measuring and tracking program success
• Author learning content independently and/or in collaboration with external vendors to focus on interactivity, learner engagement, and evaluation
• Conduct or facilitate required and recommended training sessions
• Architects, orchestrates and implements the infrastructure for training and development within the sales organization in partnership with HR
• Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS) and collaborate with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs
• Establish and implement skill assessment methodology with leaders. Evaluate skill needs based on level, tenure and area of the sales teams. Incorporates scalable solutions with a consistency in skill evaluation and development while meeting individual needs of the learners
• Evaluate, define and implement standardized sales processes and 365 goal setting including management and leadership training, collaborating with multiple departments including HR
• Ensures training quality control with proper and well-timed facilitation and content of materials
• Determines and prioritizes learning experiences in relationship to business and employee needs
• Provides oversight and ongoing impact analysis and evaluation of all training programs, vendors, systems and tools in partnership with HR
• Own the end-to-end orientation and onboarding process that is engaging, mission-centric and effective; a process that resonates with all new Ad Sales employees
• Partners with HR to ensure new to role and new hires transition to sales quickly and effectively
• Assess overall impact and effectiveness of learning programs. Use industry standards and best class benchmarks to enhance programs and the employee experience
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
• 7+ years' experience in an L&D function
• Experience supporting the building a successful corporate-wide L&D function
• Experience in all aspects of an L&D function, including needs assessment, designing and delivering training, and evaluating its effectiveness
• A strong external network with an ability to bring best practice and innovation from the market
Eligibility Requirements:
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
