The Job

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of the HBO Max consolidated financial analysis and reporting. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will assist in the preparation of reporting and executive summaries for senior management and serve as a liaison across WarnerMedia Entertainment and the HBO Max business areas. The position reports to the Sr. Financial Analyst WarnerMedia DTC.

The Daily
• Assist in preparing the HBO Max consolidated budget, re-estimate and long-range financial plan. Ensuring understanding of key business drivers and assumptions, trends, risks and opportunities
• Handle the preparation of the consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial forecasting and reporting, and related variance analysis for the entire HBO Max business. Includes identifying key business drivers and assumptions, trends, risks and opportunities, and effectively assessing and highlighting their impact
• Assist in the preparation of comprehensive HBO Max financial analysis for WME's senior management, including supporting schedules for CEO and CFO presentations, and budget documents
• Support ongoing ad hoc reporting including development of various scenario models to support strategic initiatives and ongoing businesses
• Partner with all HBO Max business areas to complete monthly reporting requirements, and annual budgeting and planning process
• Own working papers and documentation to support budget and forecast assumptions / decisions
• Work closely with the LOB team in ensuring appropriate feed and submission of financial data through the various systems. Continuously work with team to identify gaps and develop appropriate process and workflows to ensure data integrity and timeliness
• Serve as a key liaison across the company as it relates to all HBO Max finance matters including, budget, long-term plan and financial reporting
• Create and continually streamline finance business processes including appropriate procedures, workflows and guidelines in partnership with operations and other finance areas
• Proactively identify and implement internal process improvements to optimize efficiencies, improve the quality of analysis, and develop required reporting
• Actively participate in meetings with various levels within the operating groups, finance and other business areas.
• Ask probing and insightful questions and follow issues/projects through to final resolution/completion

The Essentials
• BA/BS or MBA in accounting / finance
• Minimum of two years public and /or private accounting or FP&A related experience with strong work ethic
• Solid analytical, technical, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Problem solver with ability to manage details
• Proven ability to set and meet realistic deadlines and achieve successful results
• Excellent oral, written communication skills, and financial presentation skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize and adhere to strict deadlines
• Self-motivated individual, detail-oriented with ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong Microsoft package skills a must (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
• Oracle E-Business Suite experience a plus
• Experience with full life cycle of budget / long-term planning process; preparing senior management presentations
